NURS 776 - FNP II-Acute and Episodic Problems across the Lifespan 2 Credits This course prepares the student to provide person-centered care for common acute and episodic health problems across the lifespan. Developmental, psychosocial, and cultural implications will be applied to planning care for this population. Grade Note(s): All component corequisites must be repeated if a failing grade is received in any one of them. The lecture, lab and virtual lab (V), and clinical (C) components of each NURS course must be successfully completed with a B- or better in the same semester. Fees: Additional course fees apply. Component Corequisite(s): NURS 776 and NURS 776C Prerequisite(s): NURS 735 , NURS 738 , NURS 740 , NURS 740V , NURS 772 Course Learning Outcomes: 1. Synthesize advanced knowledge required for the Family Nurse Practitioner to provide acute and episodic care.
2. Apply evidence-based guidelines to facilitate high quality clinical practice and optimal client outcomes for episodic conditions.
3. Demonstrate clinical decision-making and management skills utilizing pharmacologic, pathophysiologic, and health assessment concepts in management of episodic conditions.
