NURS 740V - Advanced Health Assessment Lab 1 Credits This virtual lab course focuses on the development of advanced practice nursing skills in health assessment for clients across the life span. Students will practice advanced assessment skills through virtual simulation. Diagnostic reasoning and communication skills, as well as the development of advanced clinical judgment, is emphasized. Grade Note(s): All component corequisites must be repeated if a failing grade is received in any one of them. The lecture, lab, and virtual lab (V) and clinical (C) components of each NURS and NRPY course must be successfully completed with a B- or better in the same semester. Fees: Additional course fees apply. Component Corequisite(s): NURS 740 and NURS 740V Prerequisite(s): Admission to the MSN program. Course Learning Outcomes: 1. Compose an accurate written summary of relevant history and physical assessment findings.
2. Evaluate history and physical assessment findings to select an appropriate differential diagnosis.
3. Demonstrate competence in conducting a physical assessment of patients across the lifespan.
