NURS 786 - FNP IV-Management of Patients and Families with Chronic Conditions 2 Credits This course prepares the student to provide advanced practice nursing care to patients with chronic and complex health conditions across the lifespan. Developmental, psychosocial, and cultural implications will be applied to planning person-centered care for patients and families. Grade Note(s): All component corequisites must be repeated if a failing grade is received in any one of them. The lecture, lab (L or V), and clinical (C) components of each NURS and NRPY course must be successfully completed with a B- or better in the same semester. Fees: Additional course fees apply. Synthesize advanced knowledge required for the Family Nurse Practitioner to provide nursing care to patients with chronic and complex health conditions across the lifespan.
2. Integrate evidence-based guidelines to facilitate high-quality clinical practice and optimal client outcomes for chronic and complex health conditions across the lifespan.
3. Demonstrate clinical decision-making and management skills utilizing pharmacologic, pathophysiologic, and health assessment concepts in the management of chronic and complex health conditions across the lifespan.
