NURS 781C - Advanced Practice Nursing Care of Woman, Childbearing Family, and Pediatrics Clinical 5 Credits This clinical course includes 225 direct patient care hours in a precepted clinical experience under the supervision of faculty. During this experience, students provide routine, episodic, and reproductive advanced practice nursing care to both pediatric and adult patients. The student will utilize and expand clinical decision-making skills in reproductive and pediatric healthcare settings. Grade Note(s): NURS 781C requires 225 hours at a clinical site. All component corequisites must be repeated if a failing grade is received in any one of them. The lecture, lab (L or V), and clinical (C) components of each NURS and NRPY course must be successfully completed with a B- or better in the same semester. Fees: Additional course fees apply. Component Corequisite(s): NURS 781 and NURS 781C Prerequisite(s): NURS 776 and NURS 776C Course Learning Outcomes: 1. Evaluate therapeutic responses to plan of care.
2. Reflect on personal progress of transition to the role of the Family Nurse Practitioner.
3. Develop person-centered plans of care for routine, episodic, and reproductive care for pediatric and adult patients in the clinical setting.
4. Compose an accurate written summary of clinical findings.
5. Analyze the use of technology to optimize quality, safety, and evidence-based care.
6. Implement plans of care in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
