NURS 781 - FNP III-Advanced Practice Nursing Care of Woman, Childbearing Family, and Pediatrics 2 Credits This course prepares the student to provide routine, episodic, and reproductive advanced practice nursing care to both pediatric and adult patients. Developmental, psychosocial, gender-relevant, and cultural implications will be emphasized. Grade Note(s): All component corequisites must be repeated if a failing grade is received in any one of them. The lecture, lab (L or V), and clinical (C) components of each NURS and NRPY course must be successfully completed with a B- or better in the same semester. Fees: Additional course fees apply. Component Corequisite(s): NURS 781 and NURS 781C Prerequisite(s): NURS 776 and NURS 776C Course Learning Outcomes: 1. Synthesize advanced knowledge required for the Family Nurse Practitioner to provide routine, episodic, and reproductive advanced nursing care to pediatric and adult patients.
2. Apply evidence-based guidelines to facilitate high-quality clinical practice and optimal client outcomes for routine, episodic, and reproductive conditions for pediatric and adult patients.
3. Demonstrate clinical decision-making and management skills utilizing pharmacologic, pathophysiologic, and health assessment concepts in management of routine, episodic, and reproductive conditions for pediatric and adult patients.
