HSAD 425 - Bioethics 3 Credits This course is an overview of both bioethical principles and ethical dilemmas that occur in various healthcare settings. The focus of the course is on the most important areas in bioethics including bioethical and moral principles, a basic framework for ethical decision-making, and a global view of ethical dilemmas. The use of case studies, various readings, and discussions on the provider-patient relationship will be emphasized throughout the course to assist the student in the development of a framework for ethical decision-making. Grade Note(s): A grade of C or better is required to successfully complete this course. Prerequisite(s): ENGL 311 and HLTH 230
