HSAD 403 - Health Care Economics 3 Credits This course introduces the student to the fundamental concepts of microeconomics theory and the correlation to the healthcare industry. Topics covered include: supply and demand modeling; cost-benefit analysis; the role of private and government health insurance; physician, hospital, long-term care, and pharmaceutical markets; and implications of how public policy can influence the healthcare industry. Grade Note(s): A grade of C or better is required to pass this course successfully. Recommended Prerequisite(s): STAT 219 or STAT 220
