HINT 350 - Clinical Information Systems


3 Credits
The application of clinical systems will be discussed and demonstrated, including clinical decision support systems, electronic health records and other computer based health records systems, nursing management systems, ancillary service systems, patient databases (private practice and facility) at point of service, master, and enterprise levels. Planning and evaluation (including financial capital and operating and regulatory matters affecting clinical information systems are considered. Strategies and theories for user performance management in the clinical setting are discussed.
Grade Note(s): A grade of C or better is required to pass this course successfully.
