HINT 775 - Health Information Governance 3 Credits Students in this course will explore the concepts of information governance. Data management policies will be evaluated to ensure they are compliant with federal and state regulations. The course will discuss managing information while supporting the organization’s strategy, operations, and risk requirements. Students will review and evaluate the processes needed in today’s e-health environment related to information interoperability. Prerequisite(s): HINT 730 Course Learning Outcomes: 1. Formulate strategies for the management of information.
2. Develop strategies to achieve data integrity with data governance standards.
3. Design data dictionaries in compliance with governance standards.
4. Evaluate solutions related to the management of health information using health informatics strategies.
5. Recommend organizational strategies in relation to the exchange of health information.
6. Evaluate the impact of policy on healthcare.
7. Assess consumer engagement activities.
