HINT 760 - Research Methods in HIM 3 Credits This course provides an introduction to research study design, methods, descriptive and inferential statistics needed to conduct research studies in the health information management domains. Topics include institutional review boards, ethics in research, the research process, data collection, and presentation of data. Students will establish the framework for their capstone thesis/project. Prerequisite(s): IAAS 600 Course Learning Outcomes: 1. Propose a research initiative for a thesis/project.
2. Develop a research plan for the thesis/project.
3. Evaluate research design and methods.
4. Differentiate between ethical and unethical research processes.
