CSCI 370 - 3D Game Development 3 Credits This course builds on the concepts from the 2D Game Development course, applying them to the 3D environment. Students will learn advanced design and architecture, 3D game creation, and interactive virtual environments. Topics include thinking like a designer, game analysis frameworks, the layered tetrad, game testing, math and game balance, and the agile mentality. Prerequisite(s): CSCI 335 Course Learning Outcomes: 1. Develop an agile-based workflow for iterative 3D game production.
2. Design a functional 3D game prototype incorporating interactive virtual environments.
3. Evaluate game testing methodologies to address usability issues.
4. Analyze the layered tetrad framework to assess its impact on 3D game design.
5. Apply mathematical principles to achieve game balance in a 3D environment.
