CSCI 335 - 2D Game Development


3 Credits
This course builds upon concepts learned in the introductory gaming course, focusing on the design and development of 2D games. Students will gain practical experience in creating and refining 2D game prototypes, learning to apply industry-standard tools and techniques throughout the development process. Through hands-on projects and exercises, students will deepen their understanding of game design and development.
Prerequisite(s): CSCI 231  and CSCI 258  
Course Learning Outcomes:
1. Create 2D game prototypes through hands-on projects.
2. Design engaging gameplay mechanics.
3. Evaluate prototypes based on feedback and design principles.
4. Apply industry-standard tools and techniques in 2D game development.
