CISP 310 - Server Side Scripting II 3 Credits This course expands on the foundational concepts covered in Server-Side Scripting I, focusing on advanced server-side scripting techniques. Students will explore topics such as web server configuration, encryption, caching strategies, web service development, and user authentication. Through hands-on projects, students will design, develop, test, and deploy database-driven applications to both local and remote environments, preparing them for real-world challenges in web development. Prerequisite(s): CISP 238 with C grade or above Course Learning Outcomes: 1. Design web services using the applicable APIs to enable scalable communication between applications.
2. Implement web services using best practices to ensure maintainability.
3. Evaluate caching strategies and state management techniques to optimize the performance of web applications.
4. Test web applications using automated tools to ensure functionality, security, and performance to meet industry standards.
5. Apply components and functionality of the Model-View-Controller MVC design pattern and their role in web application development
