IAAS 321 - Securing the Infrastructure


3 Credits
This course provides students with the skills and knowledge to identify vulnerabilities and secure systems against cyber threats. Students will explore the principles of ethical hacking, including reconnaissance, scanning, enumeration, exploitation, and maintaining access. Students will utilize tools and techniques to identify system weaknesses and implement effective defensive measures. Key topics include network and application security, cryptography, malware analysis, and countermeasure strategies. Emphasis will be placed on the ethical and legal responsibilities of a certified ethical hacker. This course is aligned with the EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification.
Prerequisite(s): IAAS 224 , NETW 101 , and NETW 152  or NETW 241  
Recommended Prerequisite(s): NETW 217
