CSCI 385 - Advances in Biometrics


3 Credits
This course integrates foundational biometrics concepts with cutting-edge techniques from computer vision and pattern recognition. Students will explore methods such as deep learning-based feature extraction, robust pattern recognition algorithms, and privacy-preserving biometrics. Emphasis is placed on real-world applications, including secure authentication systems and adversarial robustness. The curriculum also highlights current research trends, such as facial recognition under challenging conditions and multimodal biometric systems. Through practical projects and case studies, students will have the opportunity to critically evaluate and implement advanced biometric technologies.
