CSCI 231 - Introduction to Programming


3 Credits
This is an introductory course to programming. Students learn fundamental programming concepts including structured programming, operations on data and decision-making, looping, recursion, pointers, scope and class of variable strings, numeric arrays, sorting, and an introduction to data structures. Emphasis will be placed on the design, development, and testing of programs used to solve practical problems.
Grade Note(s): A grade of C or better is required to take the next level of programming courses CSCI 232 , CSCI 234  and CSCI 239 .
