La Maestría en Educación Urbana prepara a los docentes para satisfacer las demandas educativas de los entornos urbanos. El programa enfatiza estrategias de enseñanza culturalmente sólidas en salones urbanos para fomentar el éxito de los estudiantes. El trabajo del curso se complementa con la observación clínica en el salón, lo que permite a los profesores brindar retroalimentación inmediata sobre las habilidades más importantes para una enseñanza eficaz. El programa de Davenport fomenta asociaciones comunitarias para ayudar a los maestros a desarrollar relaciones conducentes a una enseñanza eficaz en entornos urbanos. Los estudiantes integrarán las habilidades lingüísticas de español e inglés para comunicarse profesionalmente en un entorno educativo urbano.

The Master of Urban Education prepares teachers to meet the educational demands of urban settings. The program emphasizes culturally sound teaching strategies in urban classrooms to foster student success. The coursework is complemented by clinical classroom observation, which allows faculty to provide immediate feedback on the skills that matter most in effective teaching. Davenport’s program fosters community partnerships to help teachers develop the relationships conducive for effective teaching in urban environments. Students will integrate the language skills of Spanish and English to professionally communicate in an urban educational setting.
