The Accounting Essentials Graduate Certificate provides the foundation of financial concepts and the fundamentals of accounting. The certificate introduces the principles of accounting, with an emphasis on applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to business situations as compliant journal entries are recorded. In addition, the certificate will allow for the analysis of organizational performance and financial condition evaluation. This certificate helps prepare non-accounting undergraduates for enrollment in the MAcc degree. Additionally, it prepares non-accounting undergraduates for employment in general accounting positions.
