NURS 135 - Nutrition in Nursing 2 Credits This course is designed to introduce the nursing student to the fundamentals of nutrition. Integration of the nursing process will be achieved through case studies and care plans designed for the adult client with nutritional health needs. This course will define the role of nutrients in the human body, as well as family and community nutrition. A strong emphasis will be placed on clinical nutrition in the acute care setting. Grade Note(s): A grade of B- or better is required to pass this course successfully. Fees: Additional course fees apply. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 221 and BIOL 221L ; Co-requisite(s): BIOL 312 - May be taken as a prerequisite. Recommended Co-Requisite(s): NURS 101 and NURS 101C
