BUSN 520 - Management and Marketing 3 Credits This course is a study of the contemporary theories and concepts in marketing and management. Major areas of study in marketing include the environment in which the firm competes and how the firm uses market segmentation, product and service development, and pricing, distribution, and promotion strategies to maximize sales and profits. The study of management includes the manager’s roles and responsibilities in performing the five universal functions of management, which are planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling. The student also explores ethics and corporate responsibility and the framework for a systematic approach to marketing and management decision-making. Grade Note(s): BUSN 610 is a graduate level business elective for the Master of Science in Nursing program only.
