GPMT 630 - Project Management in Software Development


3 Credits
This course covers the fundamental concepts and applied techniques for cost effective management of both long-term programs and short-term projects. The content deals with planning, scheduling, organizing, and controlling projects using agile methodology for software development.
Course Learning Outcomes:
1. Evaluate how and when agile project concepts can be integrated with predictive concepts to create an effective hybrid solution.
2. Evaluate current applications available for agile project management.
3. Develop a comprehensive software development project plan.
4. Compare and contrast common agile project life cycles used in ITsoftware development.
5. Explain agile life cycle phases, project processes, and common agile tools, techniques, and frameworks and how they are connected.
6. Describe the fundamental aspects of agile team structures and communication.
