CSCI 756 - Computer Vision 3 Credits The course will focus on image processing and introduce the student to the field of computer vision. The goal of this course is to develop methods that will allow a machine to understand or analyze images/videos. Students will engage with emerging trends, including edge computing, event-based vision, and ethical considerations in AI. Course Learning Outcomes: 1. Evaluate ethical and privacy dilemmas for responsible development of computer vision systems.
2. Analyze models for motion detection, object tracking, and video analysis.
3. Analyze innovative solutions with edge identification and related technologies.
4. Implement algorithms for image processing and computer vision applications, enabling machine interpretation of visual data.
5. Apply advanced methods for feature detection and image segmentation in diverse real-world scenarios.
