CSCI 655 - Data Communications and Networking 3 Credits The study of the principles, designs, implementations, performance, and security issues and areas of current research in computer networks. This may include various types of computer buses, local area networks, long haul networks and layered network models. Course Learning Outcomes: 1. Propose appropriate ITIL standards to optimally utilize and reduce risk in the IT infrastructure.
2. Analyze managerial techniques that promote innovation in organizations.
3. Contrast the impact of disruptive technologies on established versus start-up organizations.
4. List various business strategies that support innovation in technology.
5. Examine how IT services are effectively managed to promote quality service, reliable processes, and understanding of potential vulnerabilities.
6. Explore the advantages and disadvantages to using real options thinking in capital technology decisions.
