TECH 247 - Cloud Computing


3 Credits
This course introduces the essentials of cloud computing, including the characteristics of cloud computing, the related service models, and the standard deployment models found in today’s cloud computing environments. Students will investigate the costs, benefits, and risks associated with cloud computing and explore cloud-based infrastructures. 
Recommended Prerequisite(s): CISP 111   OR IAAS 221   OR IAAS 224  
Course Learning Outcomes:
1. Calculate the cost of deploying a cloud computing-based solution.
2. Compare and contrast the risks and benefits of implementing a cloud computing-based solution.
3. Compare and contrast the cloud computing deployment models.
4. Describe the service models of cloud computing.
5. Identify the characteristics of cloud computing.
