IAAS 332 - Authentication and Audits 3 Credits This course focuses on the principles and strategies for securing user accounts. Students will explore topics, including establishing secure account usage policies, monitoring and disabling accounts, controlling privileged access, and auditing user activity to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Students will also develop the skills to evaluate authentication and auditing practices, enabling them to assess existing solutions and recommend the most effective strategies. Prerequisite(s): IAAS 221 or IAAS 224 Recommended Prerequisite(s): NETW 101 Course Learning Outcomes: 1. Evaluate authentication schemes to determine the most appropriate solution.
2. Assess the effectiveness of auditing and compliance measures in securing user accounts.
3. Analyze various authentication schemes to determine their effectiveness in different security environments.
4. Explain user authentication, authorization, and access control AAA mechanisms.
