CISP 220 - Web Page Applications


3 Credits
This foundational course in web page design and development introduces students to the core technologies used to create and maintain websites, including web design principles, media integration, and the use of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for layout and styling.  Students will understand how to build functional, responsive, and interactive web pages using HyperText Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and JavaScript.  
Course Learning Outcomes:
1. Develop functional websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, applying best practices for web design and development.
2. Incorporate a variety of web elements such as forms, media, and positioning methods to create dynamic and interactive web experiences.
3. Utilize industry-standard tools and processes to publish and manage websites, ensuring proper deployment and content accessibility.
4. Apply styling techniques such as inline, embedded, and external style sheets to create cohesive and visually appealing web pages.
5. Apply web accessibility and internationalization standards to design inclusive and globally accessible websites.
