BITS 214 - Microcomputer Applications 3 Credits This course builds on foundational word processing skills, focusing on advanced commands and features of industry-standard software to create professional business documents. Students will explore topics such as automation with macros, efficient data integration through mail merge, collaborative editing tools, and the design of complex tables and forms. Emphasis is placed on enhancing productivity and document quality through sophisticated formatting and data-sharing capabilities. This course prepares students to pursue relevant industry certification. Recommended Prerequisite(s): CISP 100 Course Learning Outcomes: 1. Optimize word processing workflows through the effective use of automation tools, such as macros and mail merge, to enhance productivity and document functionality.
2. Design visually cohesive and effective documents that convey information clearly, utilizing advanced formatting, graphic, and charting tools to support professional communication.
